Exim Bank is on the lookout for a talented Assistant Manager – Digital Banking & Switch Specialist. This role is at the heart of our digital payments operations. You’ll be the go-to person for managing our switch platform (BPC SmartVista or similar), keeping our digital ecosystem running smoothly, and driving innovation across cards, POS/e-POS, and integrations with regulators and mobile money providers.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Switch Operations: Take full ownership of our BPC SmartVista platform and ensure uptime of 99.9% or higher.
- POS & ATMs: Oversee POS/e-POS, ATMs, and e-commerce acquiring, making sure transactions are secure and efficient.
- Compliance: Work closely with VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, CUP, and UPI to meet scheme mandates and maintain certifications.
- Fraud Monitoring: Stay ahead of fraud alerts, chargebacks, and disputes, working closely with Risk and Operations.
- Ticket Management: Use JIRA/ITSM tools to manage incidents, changes, and requests, ensuring SLAs are met and issues are permanently fixed.
- Product Rollouts: Lead the launch of new card products—Debit, Credit, Prepaid, Virtual, Contactless—and improve existing services like merchant acquiring and DCC.
- Integrations: Deliver key integrations with mobile money services (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, HaloPesa) and government platforms like TIPS, GePG, TRA, and NIRA.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior officers, while working with vendors, fintechs, and regulators to get projects delivered on time.
- Reporting & Audits: Provide clear MIS reports and dashboards, and make sure audits (PCI-DSS, BOT, card schemes) are passed with zero major issues.
What We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 3–7 years of experience in switch and card payment platforms, with at least 3 years in a leadership or project delivery role.
- Hands-on expertise with BPC SmartVista is a must.
- Experience with other switches, such as Postilion, Base24, OpenWay, or FIS, will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 8583, APIs, database troubleshooting, and ITSM tools (JIRA preferred).
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale card and digital payment projects, including POS, e-commerce, mobile money, and regulatory integrations.
- Solid track record of working with scheme certifications (VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, CUP, UPI).
